Once your student completes their 30 hours of classroom instruction, they will receive a letter of completion from their school. (Please email or text me a picture of that letter).
With that letter of completion, they are now eligible to enroll in a behind the wheel driving program (Keys 2 Driving).
In order to enroll, payment of a minimum $145 downpayment is required. This step is the "blue card" and allows your student to take the knowledge test. This process is instantaneous so once a student is registered, they are able to take their Knowledge Test (even on the same day that they register).
Once the student passes their knowledge test, they will receive their permit and are able to drive with a licensed adult (21 or older). If comfortable, your student can drive you home from the exam station; again, if they passed their knowledge test.
With their permit, your student is now able to drive with a driving instructor (Keys 2 Driving). The state requires drivers under 18 years old to drive for 6 hours with a driving instructor in order to earn a "White Card". This is also electronic and a student under 18 years old cannot take the driver's test without their "white card".
Side note: student drivers must also have an additional 50 hours of supervised driving (15 of those hours need to be at night) with a licensed adult (this does NOT have to be a driving instructor), in order to take their Driver's Test when they are 16 years old.
Completing this form will send an email directly to Eric. You can expect a response within 24 business hours.
